Absolutely not. They provide a good service for the $.33 we pay, but
we are just as free to pick up the phone or use UPS or Fedex or email to
communicate with one another. That's as ridiculous as the phone companies
charging people long distance rates for sending emails around the world.
Freedom is being able to make a choice, plan and simple.

I don't think that U.S. Postal Services should have the right to tax
providers of e-mail services because that is the equivalent of somebody
going to a public water fountain to get a drink of water and being asked
to pay a fine for using the fountain. Water is free and so should e-mail
services.

USPS and ISPs are two different corporations. Each service have thier
own advantage. Taxation would really be unfair anyways, because there is
a huge percentage of the population who are not connected to an email service.

The U.S. Government can b compared 2 a "wolf in sheep's clothing".
(Rev. 13:11)
First, the "horns" of this "lamb":
The Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade Commission
(FTC) and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of
Justice (DOJ) share responsibility for enforcing laws that
promote competition in the marketplace. Competition benefits
consumers by keeping prices low and the quality of goods and
services high.
The FTC is a consumer protection agency with two mandates
under the FTC Act: to guard the marketplace from unfair
methods of competition, and to prevent unfair or deceptive
acts or practices that harm consumers. These tasks often
involve the analysis of complex business practices and
economic issues. When the Commission succeeds in doing both
its jobs, it protects consumer sovereignty -- the freedom to
choose goods and services in an open marketplace at a price
and quality that fit the consumer’s needs -- and fosters
opportunity for businesses by ensuring a level playing field
among competitors. In pursuing its work, the FTC can file
cases in both federal court and a special administrative
forum.
"Antitrust laws . . . are the Magna Carta of free enterprise.
They are as important to the preservation of economic freedom
and our free-enterprise system as the Bill of Rights is to the
protection of our fundamental personal freedoms."
--The Supreme Court, United States v. Topco
Associates, Inc. 1972
Although, at this point, this supposed Email Tax seems to be nothing
more than a rumor..
( http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blemtax2.htm ), the U.S. Government is known to speak "as a dragon", having the
"authority" to monopolize & control everyone's ability 2 "buy or
sell".(Rev. 13:16-18)
Whatever the situation, let us keep the "mind of Christ" when it comes 2 paying taxes. (Mark 12:13-17)

Yeah, sure, we need this like we need anotherholeinourhead. It is just
another example of the government trying to push itself a little deeper
into the pockets of the hard working Americans. You give them a foot, and
of course they will want the whole yard, then mile, and then they'll just
take it all. I mean, ask the people, because I believe even in a fake democracy
the people should get what they want once in a while...

The way the U.S. goverment uses our taxes has never fully been n accord
with God's plans 2 me. Eye pay my taxes & w8 4 the day when only God
will decide what eye do with my resources, whether that is currency or
something comparable.

It can be said that it is the peoples fault for this situation. Why?<BR>
Because the US Postal Service is accountable to the government, who
in turn
is accountable and voted in by the US people.
Only a systemic change would prevent this sort of thing from happening.
This is not likely to happen in our lifetimes because, as we all know,
most
people abhor change.
Democracy isn't a good system, but it's the best we've got, as someone
once
said. Time for a change in paradigm? It's up to You.

I expect more from L4OA than this. That rumor is totally untrue. The United States Postal Service has posted a simple paged specifically to dispell that rumour. For a site who teaches truth and exploring other venues besides mainstream media and "reports" for information regarding ANYTHING. The URL is http://www.usps.com/news/press/99/99045new.htm
