Whom would we support when there r fully REMIXED DIGITALLY ENHANCED versions of all of 's BIGGEST HITS available thru NPG??

From: fusciah

If it wasn't for the artist creating this music it wouldn't exist. It came from him, it really does belong to him. The record company got it to the people but they didn't create it. I think all support ($) should go to the Artist/NPG Records. We should......

FOLLOW THE MUSIC :)

I WOULD ONLY SUPPORT IF THEY WERE NEW VERSIONS OF THE SONGS, NOT JUST MIXES AND DUB-OVERS....

I would support O(+> & the NPG, but I do not think I can justify purchasing all new cd's if they are not something new....I already own all of Prince's cd's. I would love to have a collection of live material! (Thrill City, y'all!!)

Dear L4OA,

For most of his "Friends" I think the answer is pretty simple. Anything that he does I will support to the fullest. I have been listening to his creations since I was in Junior High 18 years ago.
It is truly unfortunate that he does not own the rights to his masters. After all he not only wrote them, but produced, performed, etc. If anyone should get the masters it should be him.
There is still an independent vibe that will not be broken with his buying public. As long as he lets us know what his plans are, and sticks with them, he will never have to worry.

As we heard on "1999: THE NEW MASTER," when he decides to re-master his songs, interesting things happen. None of his friends would turn down an opportunity to hear him cut loose on a new master of some old favorites. And it is always our choice to listen or not. Some may not want a new version, some may want to cling to the memories of years gone by, their glory days. And the past is fine, keep it, cherish it. But be open to the future as well. Surprises await those who approach the future with open ears. Even when they think they have heard it all.
