There are no "shoulds" and "should nots". What is, is. I, personally, would like to thank L4OA for the gifts that were given to me over the past year and a half that I have been visiting this site. First, I would like to thank L4OA for helping me to feel closer to God. Prior to visiting this site, I would think of God, but in a much different light. It was more "what can God do for me" rather than "what can I do for God." For so long, God was an afterthought, now God is a before thought. The reason I thank this site for that, is because I found others who were willing to listen to my thoughts, and I theirs, and have grown from that sharing. But if it had not been for this site, I might never have met those and shared and grown together with them. Another thing that I wish to thank this site and those that work on this site for, is the gift of love that I have received in the form of friendships from around the world. I am one of the "regulars" in the Holy River Chat Room. There I met some of the most beautiful ppl in the world. They have touched my life in countless ways, and because of them, I am a better person. If this site had not been here, my life would be different now, and I would not know the love that I know now. These friendships that I have made, will remain with me regardless of whether the site remains functioning or not. That is a gift that is a result of this site, that is beyond words. A simple thank you, somehow does not seem enough. It is easy to get caught up in our perceptions of how we think things should or should not be done. I'm reminded of some lyrics "Am I all that U wanted me to be? Controversy." Is this site all that we wanted it to be? For me, this site is more than I ever dreamed, for it brought to me beauty and love of special friendships. If the L4OA site does disband, to those that have worked upon this site so diligently, I bow and say thank you. And if this site should remain up and running, I still bow and say thank you. For without you, without this site, I would not know the beautiful loves that I know now. Some will not agree with me, and others won't care in anyway, and some may agree, but isn't it wonderful, that through that Love Remains?

That is the silliest question this site has ever posted. Of course not. You may have just jump started the positivity and the TRUTH in humanity. You got us thinking and changing, now you need to keep us on the road to positivity and always believing that the TRUTH is all you will ever need. The vibration must go on and on and on. Practice makes perfect! Why would you disband something simply because the goal has been met? Conscientious and collective thinking and living takes daily practice. Daily? Try minute by minute. While L4OA has done much 2 open people's eyes and hearts 2 other points of view, and has given 1st info on O(+>, it is NOT raising its full consciousness as a result of it not being a true COLLECTIVE.
4 example, LeGrind, in its final original 4m, consisted of The Chicago Nation, www.emale.com, and the NPG Dance Company, among other things.. ALL labors of Love by its creators, who at end result, were forced 2 either join the "collective", or be forced 2 take their sites down. LeGrind, as its news source, stood while Emale.com and the other links were taken down... there are other Friend sites that were taken down in the same fashion ... if U choose 2 be known by a symbol, why sue your "friends" 4 calling U by your "name" as a sign of respect?
My suggestion is: L4OA should stay a Paisley Park project, with PAID webdesigners, while letting the true FRIENDS, along the guidelines of feasible copyright laws and not frivolous ones, give the LOVE back 2 the music's creator.

You shouldn't disband the site! It is one of the best web pages that I have ever been. The vibration of the collective conscience should carry on as it is now. To bring more funky stuff to the fans of O(+- . This site was well done and it has brought some great news and vibes straight from "da man" and other people (or things) related. Oh yes, definately disband. Not because any ridiculous collective conscience has or hasn't been met, but just for the fact that it would be a positive thing for the online prince community. You'd have to be living under a rock for the past year not to realize how this site (L4OA) has single handily driven a wedge between online fans. The division has never been worse since L4OA decided to share it's version of the "truth" with us all. Like all stupid fads of this century (pet rock, cabbage patch kids, etc) L4OA needs to become a distant memory and fade away also. Peace.

how do you know the gaol has been met? what have you used to measure this? i don't think it's met. So, no this site should not disband. i can't explain why, but i feel if the site disbands that the collective conscience will lose, since it cannot collaborate with those who desire its existence.

Actually the millenium isn't until 2001. This would give u at least another year to continue what I believe to be God's work. Once you've raised the "vibration" of the collective conscience you have sort of a duty to further enlighten. You're on the right path, with the animals and all. Maybe that's what's next. My awnser to this question is NO. L4OA brought us the first news of NPS and RU2TJF as well as Larry and Chaka's latest albums. So as a source of exclusive info it has been a success and should continue providing such news.

Also, L4OA brought us exclusive music in downloadable form : The War, Still The One, ect, ect. There is a alot of appreciation amongst the internet community for such treats and again, this role of L4OA should continue.

And finnaly, L4OA brought us what can only be described as brain food : interesting essays and ponderings that if nothing else help us understand the musician behind the music better.

If L4OA is disbanded then there should at least be a replacement which continues to fullfill the role it has done successfuly so far. The party is only starting.

This site should remain. It speaks 2 the spirit n ways unknown. Leave it so that we may drink from its necatar again.

No - you should sustain a commitment to the Truth

Time is relative. This is only the millennium based on the CE calendar. If you feel your message is only good for the rest of this year (or next, if that is when you think the next millennium begins), disband this site. But if you feel your message is important enough for people to know about into the future, maintain it, expand it, let it blossom and grow, leave it for those yet unborn to discover. Peace should last forever.

If that's your choice, then do what you must. However, you could always set your sight/site on a new objective or objectives. Whatever you choose to do, I'll take this opportunity to say many thanks for the memories.

I think the site has become too big. I like it the way it used to be with the Future, NEWFUNK and the few other areas (like those devoted to music and video).

Human beings, by the nature God gave us, have an ongoing curosity and unfillable need to further our education, our knowledge, our emotions, our spirit, our relationships, ourselves. Have you reached your ultimate potential and conscienceness? I would venture to guess "No". No one has. The simple fact that a collective conscience has and will never be met is the simple reason that this site should never close.
